Clean client data before the migration, not after.
CostCraft™ works behind consultancies and CRM/ERP implementers: we prepare and clean your client's data so migrations and reports land on time.

Who it's for
CRM and ERP implementers
Your project plan assumes the legacy data is ready to load. It rarely is, and the cleanup lands on your timeline.
Consultancies
Your analysis is only as good as the client files you're handed: exports, spreadsheets and old systems that don't agree.
Fractional CFOs
Client data too messy to analyse or report on, and no one on the client's staff with time to fix it.
Donor CRM consultants
Duplicate and inconsistent donor records that have to be resolved before the move to a new CRM.
What we do behind you
You keep the client and the implementation. We take the data work that would otherwise stall it.
- Data assessment. We profile the legacy data and tell you what's wrong with it, and how much, before the plan depends on it.
- Cleanup. Duplicates merged, formats standardised, broken references found — by documented rules, not by hand.
- Field mapping. Every legacy field mapped to the new system's fields, with the mapping written down.
- Exception lists. Anything that can't be resolved safely is set aside with a reason, for you or your client to decide.
- Power BI on the new system. When the migration is done, reporting built on the clean data.
How we show up
Behind you by default. Named alongside you if you'd rather. It's your relationship and your call.
- By default, behind you. Your client deals with you, and your name is on the work. We don't speak to your client unless you want us to.
- On request, named. If you'd rather introduce us as a named specialist, we work alongside you and talk to your client directly.
- Either way. We don't pitch your client the work you're there to do, and nothing moves before terms and confidentiality are in place.
How an engagement works
You bring us in
We agree the scope with you, and how the client's data will be handled, before any file moves.
Assessment

Cleanup and mapping
The data cleaned and mapped to the new system, every rule documented so your team can follow it.
Handover
Load-ready files and an exceptions list, delivered to your team on your timeline.
Questions
Do you speak to our client directly?
Only if you want us to. The default is that we don't: we work behind you, your client deals with you, and your name is on the work. If you'd rather introduce us as a named specialist, we'll do that instead. It's your relationship and your call.
Whose name is on the deliverable?
Yours, unless you decide otherwise.
We're mid-migration and it's going badly. How fast can you be useful?
Days, if you can get us a sample of the data and half an hour on a call. We don't need the whole picture to start being useful on the part that's stuck.
Do you compete with us?
Not within the engagement. We don't pitch your client the work you're there to do.
Will you sign our NDA?
Yes. Nothing moves before terms and confidentiality are in place.
How is this priced?
Hourly, with an estimate before we start. The free review is what makes that estimate worth anything, because we look at your actual data first. If the work is heading past the estimate, we stop and tell you before carrying on. The first you hear of it won't be the invoice.
